Caring for the building God has given us

Looking After Our Church Home

Our building is where we worship, learn, and welcome our community. Keeping it in good repair is part of how we steward what God has entrusted to us.

Below are the projects we have planned. We will update this page as each one gets under way, and add photos as the work progresses.

Under Way

Work that has already started.

Clean and Paint the Church Roof
Under way Started 10 August 2026

Clean and Paint the Church Roof

Clean the roof with a high-pressure cleaner, make sure there are no leaks, and repaint it.

The church roof needs a proper clean and a fresh coat of paint. Beyond how it looks, the paint layer is what protects the roof against the weather and keeps water out of the building below.

Work began on 10 August 2026 with a high-pressure clean of the roof, over both the pitched tiled section and the flat roof along the side of the building.

By the end of August the cleaning was done and painting of the tiles had started.

Scope of work

  • Clean the roof and gutters with a high-pressure cleaner
  • Check for and seal any leaks
  • Repaint the roof

Paint the Church Exterior
Under way Started August 2026

Paint the Church Exterior

Repaint the outside walls of the church so the building is well kept and weather-protected.

A fresh coat on the exterior walls keeps damp out of the plaster and makes the church a welcoming sight from the street.

Painting started in August 2026. The long side wall has been painted white, with the window frames and sills in dark grey.

Scope of work

  • Prepare the walls
  • Paint the exterior walls

Add a Bathroom
Under way Started 24 August 2026

Add a Bathroom

Build an additional bathroom so there are enough facilities for a full church and for events.

Our current facilities are stretched on a full Sunday and during events. An additional bathroom will ease the queues and let us host larger gatherings comfortably.

Work got under way on 24 August 2026 with a new doorway being opened through the wall into the bathroom.

Scope of work

  • Open the new doorway
  • Plumbing and drainage connections
  • Build, tile, and fit out the new bathroom

Planned

Projects we are preparing for and raising funds towards.

Planned

Paint the Parking Line Markings

Repaint the parking bays and walkways so parking is orderly and safe on a busy Sunday.

The markings in the parking area have faded. Repainting them lets us fit more cars in safely and keeps a clear path for people walking to the entrance.

Scope of work

  • Sweep and clean the parking surface
  • Set out and repaint parking bays
  • Mark accessible bays near the entrance
  • Mark pedestrian walkways to the church doors
"So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart."

Nehemiah 4:6
